No, because of the funny date, there is no time limit. However, runners who expect taking more that 5hr45min will start at 10am. Please let me know your expected finishing time. There will be a pace maker for the slow group taking aiming for 5.30 -6;00 TBC.

Marshalls and water stations:
The route is very simple to follow and marshals will be present at crucial points. Three water stations along the 8km stretch: at the start/finish area and at the turn back place, see “Route” for details), i.e. every 2-3miles of the marathon distance. The organiser provides some water and snacks, however runners are asked to rely on their own refreshments that they bring. Those can be left in registration office (day before your run) and will be given to marshals at water stations where you can pick them on race day.

Toilets and Shower facilities
The organiser does not provide toilets and showers; however toilets in local shops, cafes, and restaurants may be used at their courtesy. Toilet and changing rooms can also be found the registration office half a mile from starting area.

Results and Awards Ceremony.

Results classified in the following categories:
For each separate marathon: Open
For those doing both days: Open, Male and Female – winners of those categories will receive a special trophy. (I’ll tell you guys there’s some proper trophies to be won, not the usual silver cup, so you better turn on a second gear;)
Results will be announced at 4:00pm or after the last finisher (TBC) and all finishers then awarded their medal. Finishers of both marathons will be awarded a medal on one day and a state of the art Mug on the other (hint: we should have some NY champagne so you’ll have a proper glass;).

New Year Celebrations and free Accommodation
All runners are invited to New Year’s Eve party to celebrate year 2011 in each others’ company. Liverbird races – the Beatles theme! Also, for those who want to do both days free accommodation is available for a limited number of runners, in the form of sleeping on the floor (bring your own sleeping bag & mat!). The idea is “sleeping in one room, party in the other”. Obviously the party would finish at an agreed (relatively early) hour, depending on runners’ suggestions. If you don’t mind sleeping in a crowded room do email the organiser as places obviously limited.
